![]() ![]() When it's the enemies turn it ends almost everytime with an entire squad of your best soldier's being wiped out by a land jellyfish or grasshopper destroying a whole squadren of your toughest units. You can either skip the battle and win almost every time or you can fight them yourself only to your whole army miss almost every turn and when you are lucky enough to hit the enemy, even the best units and hero's only take a small nibble off the enemies health bar Even the special weapons like laser strike only take a tiny amount of health of your enemies. The first DLC for Age of Wonders: Planetfall has just been released, with two new campaigns, new mechanics, new units and much more.I was very optimistic about this game as it combines a lot of my favorite elements in one. The game, in general, is very similar to the usual civilizations, but in space. The winning condition in a game of Planetfall is either crushing all your enemies with your fleets or engage in a tech race and create a doomsday weapon. The procedurally generated world map is broken down into sections that can be taken over to generate resources such as production, research, food, and energy. Players would take control of the leader of a faction and explore the planet, engage in diplomacy, spy and declare war. There are six factions in the game at launch, each with different gameplay, strength, and weaknesses. Planetfall was released in August 2019, for PC, Xbox One and PS4. The game was developed by Triumph Studios and is the fifth installment of the Age of Wonders Series, however, this is the studio’s first foray into a sci-fi setting. Age of Wonders: Planetfall is another 4X turn-based strategy game published by Paradox Interactive. ![]()
